Kevin Plaisted has been practising martial arts since he was a teenager and is a 7th Dan “Kyoshi” in the Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu karate style. In a past incarnation he was an armed defender with the Auckland Police Force but since 1992, he has been practising acupuncture on Auckland’s North Shore. He still does a yearly pilgrimage to Okinawa, Japan, to attend karate tournaments there and also helps out with his acupuncture on injured competitors when he is there.
Tune in to Radio Kidnappers on 1431 AM or 104.7 FM Monday 27th July 2015 at 9:30am to listen to Kevin tell us about how acupuncture can help martial artists and sports people with their injuries.
