At the end of July all registered Health Care workers received an email from ACC explaining how to submit documentation for their patients in need of compensation from vaccine injury, in particular from Pfizer.
Many of my patients who have had chest pain, angina, unexplained High Blood Pressure and in extra severe cases, myocarditis and pericarditis, are encouraged to return to their GP and ask their claim be submitted to ACC. ACC have also said, there is no limit to submit to apply for ACC, meaning that you may have had the vaccine a year ago but you can still claim now. Some patients may have been instructed by their physician that their problem was NOT as a result of the vaccine but it is your right to have your claim lodged and reviewed by ACC. Other patients have also have had different symptoms such as numbness, spasms, shingles, seizures and skin disorders.
At this stage, the wording from ACC is not clear as what is “serious” or what is a “vaccine injury” or what type of symptoms they will accept.
Vaccine injury will be regarded as “medical misadventure” of which the symptoms could be numerous.
In August I will be away again for a couple of short breaks. August 11-14, I will be in Wellington for our annual acupuncture conference. The following week 18-21st August, I will be in Auckland hosting a Sports Medicine Acupuncture workshop featuring Matt Callison from the USA who will be presenting on lower back sporting injuries.
Otherwise, the clinic will be open as usual and I look forward to treating you into the coming Spring.
