Mike Armour- Auckland based acupuncturist
Mike Armour started off his career in modern bio-medicine specialising in cardiovascular physiology after obtaining his Bachelor of Bio-medicine of which he completed with honors. After having had acupuncture himself which successfully helped his frozen shoulder, he became inspired and then went on study and complete another degree obtaining his Bachelors of Acupuncture from the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He now works from The Body Workshop in Auckland where a number of acupuncturists and other practitioners work together in a busy center there. And that still wasn’t enough for Mike as he then set off to complete a PhD.
At time of writing his PhD is due to be complete in about March 2015. The research for his PhD is on dysmenorrhoea (painful periods) and the role of acupuncture in this problem.
