Matt Callison is the President of AcuSport Seminars in the USA and is one of primary lecturers at the Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification Program in the United States. He first presented at the NZRA AGM Conference in Hamilton in 2002 and has since then delivered a number of seminars throughout New Zealand. Matt’s book, Sports Medicine Acupuncture, is due to be published in 2017 and he will be presenting his one and only 2017 New Zealand seminar in Auckland.

This 2-day Sports Medicine Acupuncture Foundational workshop covers the assessment and treatment of knee, ankle and foot injuries. Anatomy, palpation, postural and orthopedic examinations as well as manual muscle tests will be used to assess many common injuries. Differential diagnosis of injuries will be examined from both Western and TCM perspectives.
Over the course of the weekend, the workshop will involve
- Using specific needle techniques on traditional acupuncture points for lower limb injuries
- Demonstration and application of using specific Motor Points
- Using acupuncture channel correspondences in relation to these injuries
- Review of myofascial mobilizations and how this is used in treating the lower limb
This seminar greatly enhances the success rate in treating lower leg injuries by combining western and eastern diagnostic and treatment techniques.
This weekend practical workshop is only open to members of Acupuncture NZ and NZASA and the numbers attending the workshop will be limited.

Cancellation Policy
It is a practical workshop and numbers attending are limited.
A deposit of $100 can secure a place in the seminar but is non refundable.
Full paying attendees cancelling up until the 19th June will be refunded 75% of the registration fee. After this date, there will be no refund. Full payment must be received by 22nd June 2017.
Travelling to the workshop from outside of Auckland?
The rugby is on in Auckland that weekend and accommodation is very scarce and expensive.
