The first appointment is one hour long and includes the assessment, formulating a diagnosis and performing a treatment.
Follow up appointments are roughly 45 minutes to an hour long and I will alternate between using two rooms seeing another patient.
Please come ten minutes early for your first appointment
Please aim to come ten minutes early for the first appointment as some time is required to fill out the informed consent form and provide your contact details to reception staff.

What conditions can be treated
For a list of some of the hundreds of conditions that can be treated with acupuncture please go here.
Acupuncture and ACC
Acupuncture is covered under ACC, provided that you have an existing ACC number for your current injury. That number will usually have been provided to you by your GP, chiropractor or physiotherapist.
If the injury is more than 1 year old, the treatment will NOT be covered by ACC and acupuncture.
Alternative ACC workplace insurance companies are NOT be covered under ACC at The Acupuncture Clinic. This includes Well NZ, Work AON
ACC covered treatment only covers the cost of the treatment for the injury. This means that you can NOT have treatment for another internal condition at the same time as your ACC visit.
PLEASE VISIT HERE TO UNDERSTAND ALL THAT IS INVOLVED WHEN BEING TREATED UNDER ACC.
Do I need to bring anything and what should I wear when I come for treatment
Please bring any relevant medical reports and a list of medications and supplements if you are taking any. It is best to wear loose comfortable clothes and there will be towels provided to cover up if need be.
What are the charges
All sessions for private patients are $80.
For patients coming to The Acupuncture Clinic under ACC, the first visit charge is $80 and follow up ACC treatments are $35.
Can I get treatment for fertility, cancer and children’s disorders
For the treatment of Fertility, I use acupuncture in conjunction with Chinese herbs and I CAN NOT treat you if you are taking fertility pharmaceuticals such as clomiphene or undergoing IVF. Please contact Acupuncture New Zealand for a practitioner in Wellington if you are after IVF support.
In the treatment of cancer, I can only provide acupuncture support during the process of chemotherapy and radiation or I can provide support and treatment with post cancer rehabilitation.
Children’s disorders are best treated by seeing a practitioner who has had specialized training in pediatric acupuncture. Please ring 0800 228 786 , our professional body Acupuncture NZ in Wellington, and ask for a referral if you are seeking a specialist pediatric acupuncturist.
